STEP 03
Repair or clone
We inspect the existing ECU, recover the required data if readable, then transfer it to a suitable donor unit when cloning is the right route. Postal ECU cloning is available across Ireland.
STEP 04
Programme, refit and verify
The ECU is programmed, refitted and tested to confirm correct communication and operation before handover.

Questions about ECU Repair & Cloning
Can a water-damaged ECU be repaired?
Often, yes — it depends on how much corrosion has affected the board and components. We inspect first and let you know honestly whether repair or replacement is the better option.
Is ECU cloning the same as remapping?
No. Cloning transfers the existing software and identity data to a replacement ECU so the vehicle runs as before. Remapping changes the tuning values within that software.
Will cloning affect my immobiliser?
Cloning is done specifically to keep the immobiliser and vehicle systems working together correctly. Any immobiliser-related issues are part of what we check before and after the job.
