You do not always need to bring the vehicle to us. Customers and garages can send ECUs by post for testing, repair, cloning or data transfer after the ECU label and vehicle details have been checked.

Nationwide Postal ECU Repair & Cloning

If your ECU has failed, has no communication, water damage, internal faults, immobiliser issues, or needs to be cloned to a replacement unit, you can send the ECU to us by post from anywhere in Ireland.

Garages and mechanics are welcome. ECU testing, cloning and bench programming support is available by post across Ireland, subject to ECU identification and testing.
We are based in Carrick-on-Suir, but ECU repair and cloning work can often be carried out on the bench without the vehicle present. Not every ECU can be repaired or cloned, so contact us before sending anything.

We test the ECU, confirm the repair or cloning route, then return completed units by tracked post.

Initial inspection normally begins after the ECU arrives. Straightforward cloning jobs may be completed quickly, but damaged or unreadable ECUs can take longer, especially where donor sourcing or data recovery is required. We will provide an update after inspection.

Testing first, no risky promises

Not every ECU can be repaired or cloned. Some ECUs may be too badly damaged, locked, unreadable or require vehicle-side diagnosis before repair can be confirmed. We always recommend proper fault diagnosis before replacing an ECU, and we avoid guaranteed turnaround promises until the ECU has been inspected.

  • ECU part number if available
  • Fault codes if available
  • Short description of the problem
