Camper and Motorhome ECU Support
A camper or motorhome normally uses the engine ECU from its original base vehicle. This may be a Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Relay, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Volkswagen Crafter, Iveco Daily or another commercial platform.
The camper conversion brand is less important than the base vehicle, engine details and ECU part number. Send the base vehicle information and clear ECU label photographs before removing, purchasing or posting an ECU.

Cloning detail
A Tuning Read Is Not Always Enough for ECU Cloning
An OBD tuning read may contain only calibration or map data. ECU cloning can require additional data such as EEPROM, full flash, processor data, immobiliser information or security data.
Before accepting a cloning job, we confirm:
- the exact ECU family;
- the available bench, boot or BDM protocol;
- whether the original ECU data can be read;
- whether the donor ECU is compatible;
- and whether the required cloning data is available.

Can van or camper ECU cloning be done by post?
Yes, in many cases. The original ECU and compatible donor ECU can often be posted without the full vehicle being present. This depends on the ECU type, required immobiliser data, original ECU condition and donor compatibility.
Do I need to send the complete camper or motorhome?
Not always. Many ECU testing, cloning and data-transfer jobs can be handled with the ECU removed. Send the ECU label and vehicle details first so we can confirm whether the vehicle or only the ECU is required.
Which vans do you support?
We can assess selected Iveco Daily, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Relay, Mercedes Sprinter, Volkswagen Crafter, Ford Transit, Renault Master and related commercial platforms. Exact support must be confirmed from the ECU label.
Can every Bosch EDC16 or EDC17 ECU be cloned?
No. The ECU family name alone is not enough. Support depends on the exact hardware, software, processor, available read method, original data condition and donor compatibility.
Should I buy a donor ECU before contacting you?
No. Send clear photographs of the original ECU label first. Buying an incorrect donor ECU can waste time and money.
Can you repair water-damaged or burnt van ECUs?
They can be assessed, but successful repair or data recovery cannot be guaranteed. In some cases, recovering the original data and cloning a compatible donor ECU is the better option.
Do you repair heavy-truck ECUs?
Heavy-truck ECU repair is not currently offered as a standard service. Our present focus is selected vans, campers, motorhomes and light-commercial vehicles. Future support may be considered only after the exact ECU and available tooling have been confirmed.
