Nationwide Postal ECU Repair & Cloning

If your ECU has failed, has no communication, water damage, internal faults, immobiliser issues, or needs to be cloned to a replacement unit, you can send the ECU to us by post from anywhere in Ireland.

We are based in Carrick-on-Suir, but ECU repair and cloning work can often be carried out on the bench without the vehicle present. Not every ECU can be repaired or cloned, so contact us before sending anything.
Step by step

How it works

STEP 01

Send ECU details first

Message us the vehicle details, symptoms, fault codes and ECU part number before posting anything.

STEP 02

We confirm suitability

We check whether repair, cloning, testing or data transfer is likely to be supported before you send the unit.

STEP 03

Post the ECU to us

Package the ECU safely, include your contact details, and use tracked delivery.

STEP 04

We return by tracked post

We test, repair or clone where possible, then return the ECU by tracked post.

Important

Testing first, no risky promises

Not every ECU can be repaired or cloned. Some ECUs may be too badly damaged, locked, unreadable or require vehicle-side diagnosis before repair can be confirmed. We always recommend proper fault diagnosis before replacing an ECU.

What to Include When Posting Your ECU

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • Phone number
  • Vehicle registration
  • Vehicle make, model, year and engine
  • ECU part number if available
  • Fault codes if available
  • Short description of the problem
  • Whether you need repair, cloning, or testing
  • Donor ECU if cloning is required

Do not send an ECU without contacting us first. Some jobs require a matching donor ECU or extra vehicle information before work can be confirmed.

How to Package the ECU Safely

To reduce the risk of transport damage:

  • Wrap the ECU well in bubble wrap
  • Use a strong cardboard box
  • Do not send it loose in a bag
  • Keep connectors protected
  • Use tracked delivery
  • If the ECU is water damaged, tell us before sending it

ECU Support for Garages Across Ireland

We also work with independent garages and mechanics across Ireland. If you have a customer vehicle with a suspected faulty ECU, you can remove the ECU and send it to us for testing, repair, cloning or data transfer where supported.

This helps garages offer ECU solutions without investing in specialist bench programming tools, EEPROM tools or ECU repair equipment.

  • No communication faults
  • Suspected ECU internal faults
  • Water-damaged ECUs
  • Failed ECU replacement
  • ECU cloning to donor units
  • Immobiliser data transfer
  • Bench read/write support
FAQ

Postal ECU Repair FAQs

Can I post my ECU from anywhere in Ireland?
Yes. For ECU repair, ECU cloning and ECU data transfer, customers and garages can post the ECU to us from anywhere in Ireland. Contact us first with the ECU part number, vehicle details, fault codes and symptoms before sending anything.
Can ECU cloning be done by post?
Yes. In many cases, ECU cloning can be carried out without the full vehicle being present. The ECU can often be removed and posted to us, especially when the original ECU and donor ECU are available. This depends on the ECU type, immobiliser system, donor ECU compatibility and whether the original ECU data can be read. Contact us first with the vehicle details, fault codes and photos of the ECU labels before sending anything.
Should I buy a donor ECU before contacting you?
No. Send a photo of the original ECU label first. Donor ECUs must match correctly, and buying the wrong unit can waste money.
Can every ECU be repaired or cloned?
No. ECU repair and cloning depend on ECU condition, damage level, software/data readability and donor ECU compatibility. We confirm the options after checking the details or inspecting the ECU.
