Injector Coding
Injector coding and correction value resets after injector replacement, so the ECU correctly recognises the fitted injectors.
Injector Coding
When injector coding is needed
- New or reconditioned injectors recently fitted
- Rough running or uneven idle after injector replacement
- Increased smoke or fuel consumption post-replacement
- Injector swapped between cylinders during a repair
- Fault codes referencing injector correction values
Our process
How injector coding works
STEP 01
Read the fitted injector codes
Each injector's correction values are read directly from the unit.
STEP 02
Input the correct values per cylinder
The values are coded into the ECU against the correct cylinder position.
STEP 03
Verify smooth running
Idle quality and live data are checked to confirm the engine is running as it should.
STEP 04
Road test
A short road test confirms the fix has resolved any rough-running symptoms.

FAQ
Questions about Injector Coding
Do all new injectors need coding?
Most modern diesel injectors need their individual correction values coded into the ECU to run smoothly — this is standard practice after replacement on many vehicles.
What happens if injectors aren't coded after replacement?
The ECU may use incorrect fuelling values for that cylinder, which can cause rough running, smoke or poor performance.
Can you code injectors I've already fitted myself?
In most cases, yes — bring the vehicle in with the injector part details if available and we'll take it from there.
